Ebonyi State Governor, Chief Engr David, Nweze Umahi, on the January, 2017 charged the Ebonyi State Independent Electoral Commission, EBIEC, to conduct council polls in the state as soon as possible..

IFES VISIT TO EBONYI SIEC ON 16TH MARCH 2017

The Deputy Director Mrs. Uloma on her speech pledge to partner with the commission on the following areas:
  • Capacity building
  • Train the Trainer,
  • Train Master Trainer,
  • Workshop,
  • Conferences etc.
  • The Chairman OF EBSIEC, Barr. Jossy C. Eze in his responses appreciated IFES for their visit and said that the Commission is ready to partner with them on the areas mentioned.


     Furthermore the Commission will also articulate their needs and forward to IFES for possible assistance..

    On the 9th of March, 2017, the Ebonyi State Election Debate Group paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman of EBSIEC Chief (Barr.) Jossy C. Eze.The two Independent bodies had an interactive meeting which focused on the conduct of a free, fair and credible Local Government Council Elections in Ebonyi State. The Debate group also agreed to partner with EBSIEC in the areas of Voter Education, Sensitization and Public Enlightenment through the Print and Electronic Media.


     All EBSIEC programmes and activities will be given wide publication so as to create awareness among the Electorate..
